We are always excited to partner with other local growers, flower farms, and florists, and this spring we will be a guest speaker at workshops hosted by two of our favourites; Charlie May Farm and Lily Stone Garden! 

As an addition to their already fabulous workshops, we are joining in as a guest speaker to share our knowledge of all things dahlias; why we love them, how to grow, harvest and care for the blooms, but also proper saving, storage and division of the tubers for the following year. As an added bonus, all workshop attendees will have early access to our tuber sale (codes to unlock our website will be granted through your host workshop). Guests will also receive a free copy of our digital handbook, "Dahlias - Let's Grow Together".

Create Your Own Cutting Garden with CHARLIE MAY FARM

Get ready to get your hands dirty and sow some seeds. In this workshop you will be sowing your own tray of specialty cut flower seeds to take home with you. Jamie will also give you my much loved recipes for seed starting, seed blocking, preventing mold and mildew and nourishing your seedlings.

Basics of Cut Flower Gardening with LILY STONE GARDEN

Come spend a morning learning basic techniques on how to grow and maintain your own small-scale cut flower garden for your enjoyment! Together we will create a basic garden plan outlining the specific varieties that will allow you to enjoy blooms throughout Manitoba's growing season.

We will also touch on how we start and grow some trickier varieties like ranunculus and anemones. Please don't feel like you need to be a master gardener for this workshop, with a little guidance and a little love anyone can harvest (literally!) the pleasure that gardening can provide.
