Refund policy

You can always contact us for any return/refund questions at heather@prairiegroveacres.ca. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. All requests must be accompanied by a photo of the tuber. If a refund is issued, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Our refund policy is limited to the purchase price of the tubers only; shipping costs are nonrefundable. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account

Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us within three days if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned/refunded; perishable goods (such as tubers, seeds, plants, flowers, fruits or vegetables), and custom products (such as special orders). Once these products leave our farm we are not responsible for any damage or deterioration due to improper handling. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

We do not accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

DAHLIA TUBERS 
Prairie Grove Acres only sells our own farm grown tubers. We guarantee that all dahlia tubers will be shipped with at least one viable ‘eye’. Eyes are not always visible right away, as tubers may still be dormant at the time of shipping. Detailed growing instructions will be included with all orders.

Please ensure all shipping information is accurate and up to date. You will receive an email confirmation once your order is placed as well as a shipping notification with tracking information once your order(s) is shipped. Please check your junk mail/SPAM/Gmail Promotions tab before emailing us for a missing confirmation email.

Prairie Grove Acres is not responsible for lost packages due to incorrect shipping information. Please contact Canada Post directly to open a lost ticket if your package becomes lost in the mail, we will not be responsible for tracking down any lost packages.

When you receive your tubers, open your package immediately. We will not be responsible for tubers drying out or rotting in post-shipment storage. If you are not planting your tubers immediately you may store them in their opened packages in a cool and dark place for several weeks until you are able to plant. Check your tubers often during this time to make sure there is no excess moisture, as moisture can lead to rot. On the contrary, check to ensure they are not drying out, you can always pot them up indoors and transplant them outside once you are able.

In the event that you feel your tuber is damaged or you believe diseased, you must email us, with images of the product, within three days of receiving your shipment. Together we will determine if there is a reasonable issue. If it is agreed that your tuber is not viable or unhealthy a replacement tuber will be sent to you. If the original variety is no longer available, we will ship out a new variety of your choosing or fully refund your purchase for the tuber in question (your choice). Shipping will only be refunded in cases where the damaged/unhealthy tuber was the only tuber purchased. If multiple tubers were part of the purchase, the shipping cost will not be refunded.

We follow strict measures in our growing field, and while handling tubers, in order to produce the healthiest plants/tubers possible. Each tuber is inspected multiple times for disease and viability before the shipping stage. There are many factors that can contribute to the overall performance of tuber growth as well as plant/flower quality; such as moisture, soil quality, temperature, pests, and other environmental factors. Prairie Grove Acres cannot be held responsible for any disease/virus that may appear in plants, as pathogens can enter any plant at any time throughout the growing season via soil bacteria and/pests (for example). Tubers will not be replaced or credited during the growing season if not viable, as there are too many factors to determine what caused the tuber to not grow, as stated. Prairie Grove Acres is not liable for any damage or loss resulting from pests, crop failure or weather, including freezing.

We do not offer substitutions due to stock loss. If something unexpected happens with storage between your order and shipping, we will refund you the price of the tuber(s).

PLANTS AND SEEDS
Due to many factors such as moisture, soil quality, temperature, pests, and other environmental factors surrounding the care of plants/seeds we are not responsible for failed or poor growth and/or death of the plant. Any and all responsibility of care is solely on the buyer and Prairie Grove Acres holds no responsibility for the growth of the plants/seeds.

FRESH FLOWERS
Due to many factors such as moisture, temperature, pests, and other environmental factors surrounding the care of fresh flowers, we cannot guarantee the life span of such flowers for any length of time. Any and all responsibility of care is solely on the buyer and Prairie Grove Acres holds no responsibility for the treatment of the flowers. Fresh flowers are delicate in nature and required attention and care.

FRUIT & VEGETABLES
Due to many factors, including temperature, surrounding the care of fresh fruit and vegetables, we cannot guarantee the fruit or vegetable for any length of time. Any and all responsibility of care is solely on the buyer and Prairie Grove Acres holds no responsibility for the fruit or vegetables.
